A
few tips to mantain that glowing complexion.
- Control acidity, which in turn aggravates most problems,
by having small frequent meals
- Never skip breakfast. If in a hurry, at least eat
a banana& have a glass of milk - both natural
antacids and energy powerhouses
- Make sure you are not constipated. Drink plenty
of water (6-8 glasses per day) which also helps in
flushing out toxins
- Avoid "maida" foods which most teenagers thrive
on - pizzas, pastas, burgers, chinese food, pastries
etc. Avoid excessive sugar intake. Very oily &
spicy food all the time can aggravate certain problems
- Keep the skin clean. Hygiene becomes very important
at this age. Wash off the oiliness by using a good
face wash or certain soaps recommended for oily skin
- Use a "Multani Mitti" pack twice a week and a scrub
once a week
- Dandruff is usually a common problem for the younger
generation. Wash your hair often and at least once
a week with a medicated shampoo containing ketoconazole
& zinc pyrithione. Dandruff can also aggravate
the acne on the forehead and back. So beware!
- Use a sunscreen which is oil free through the day
and avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight
Be happy, positive in your attitude, scrupulously
clean, and try to live a steady, normal life with
a lifestyle which you can be proud of. The result
will be a glowing, radiant skin free of blemishes
and problems.
